I loved the first two hours of it The last two hours were focused on “how to behave” inside your corporative office. Well I guess it does not apply to us who do not work on that specific type of environment. I’m a teacher in Europe, and here in Europe you can’t just put extra hours at work, it is against the law and your boss will most likely advise you to respect your shift. Unless you work on a super hungry corporation that does not give a f. I wish the author had made it more neutral (like the first two hours) so it could apply to anything you do. Anyways, it was good listening to

This book left out alot of things. Back to work, back to work, back to work. (If you do an excellent job where you are, you will never receive a promotion. Why would a company move you? Remember its your fault. If a tired woman is coming home late at night from her two full time jobs and she gets attacked and raped, its her fault for not having the motivation to be at a third job working 11pm to 7am. Instead of going home.

What helped me a ton is mindfulness meditation, separating from thoughts and not taking them too seriously. The mind cannot force itself into action, it'll end up consuming itself with endless thought. The workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels is awesome, as is the Tao Te Ching.

Well silly tommy, its that thinking that is holding you back! People have started with nothing and if that's what you have, you can start there too. Start in this very moment, you being here shows you want to be better. You mind and your body once connected to eachother, can do anything.

I've gained numerous insights from this book, but one particularly striking lesson stands out of me and hit one of my attitude towards working: 'Birds of a feather flock together.' This rings true-by surrounding ourselves with individuals who mirror the qualities we wish to embody, we elevate not just ourselves but each other. Together, we shape our futures, influenced by the circles we choose to be part of. This message, among others derived from it, continues to unfold and resonate with me.
